A first European regional process Steering Committee meeting was held on 21 December 2010, in Brussels (Belgium). Its main objectives were to share information on the background and processes of preparation of the 6th World Water Forum, to identify a preliminary set of topics for “regional specificities”, to undertake the designation of ad hoc working groups and to forecast a framework of activities to be carried out under the regional process until the Forum in Marseille. A second meeting on 18 January 2011 in Paris was the occasion to specify the specific European regional targets and to identify volunteers to lead or participate in the preparation of each of them.
